Surber Barber Choate & Hertlein Architects has enjoyed an ongoing relationship with Carolina Country Club since the early 1990's. The firm has completed an array of projects for the club, including a new clubhouse, a new fitness and pool facility, and renovations to the clubhouse.
Completed in 1993, the clubhouse was the centerpiece of a comprehensive club redevelopment plan. The 50,000 square foot clubhouse replaced an existing clubhouse built in the 1950s.
The New Fitness Facility replaced a small, inadequate pool service building with a new service facility and fitness center. The new building is located in the same location as the former one which is immediately adjacent to the pool and was completed in 2003.
The recent renovations to the clubhouse featured a full interior renovation, renovation of the men's grill, and expanded casual bar, expanded covered balcony and terrace dining that is used by the ballroom, the formal dining room, and the formal lounge. This covered terrace overlooks the golf course in the rear of the clubhouse.
