Surber Barber Choate & Hertlein Architects designed the 35,000 square foot clubhouse at North Hampton Golf Club in the mountains of Akita, Japan. The club features an 18-hole golf course designed by renowned Japanese course designer Takeaki Kaneda.
Dining facilities include a formal dining room and bar, casual dining room, three private dining rooms, a trophy room and bar, a full-service kitchen, and serving kitchens on the first and second floors.
Locker room facilities include traditional Japanese bathing rooms overlooking private gardens, a massage room, sauna, a V.I.P. locker room, and additional lockers and facilities for 136 men and 32 women. The clubhouse also contains a pro shop and cart storage for approximately 60 golf carts.
