Gwinnett County developed Bogan Park as a community recreational resource. As part of the project, Surber Barber Choate & Hertlein Architects was selected to design a multi-purpose recreational and aquatics center, and related buildings.
In addition to a competition-size swimming pool, the facility houses a leisure swimming area, as well as classrooms, offices, a game room, a community room, a catering kitchen, and locker and rest rooms. The project also includes design services for additional buildings in the park including a concession and restroom building, a maintenance building, two pavilions and a games court area. The nature of the facility demands that the design solution be easy to maintain, durable, and attractive.
