The renovation of the historic Central Presbyterian Church in downtown Atlanta included rework of the sanctuary, narthex, fellowship hall and adjacent spaces. In the church, the chancel platform was expanded and raised for better visibility and the choir and organ were moved into the volume of the main nave to accommodate the choir's growth and auxiliary musical instruments. The acoustics were dramatically improved and the aesthetics of the space were also greatly enhanced with new finishes and lighting.
The Fellowship Hall also received new finishes and lighting and a more effective configuration. The sacristy and prep areas were also reworked.
The exterior scope included a new cement roof tiles to match the original historic roofing and the existing brick, window frames and trim were rehabilitated.
